There are numerous forms of ritualized violence to which women and girls are subjected worldwide. The acts of violence and human rights violations that are done to them include mutilation of their genitals, in the language of the World Health Organization: female genital mutilation: FGM.
Our internationally active and non-profit association was founded in 1998 to work around the world to end this harmful form of traditional practices. We support projects in the prevalence countries and are active domestically to support women who have suffered FGM and to protect girls who are at risk.
