"Migrant women's rights are human rights"

Duygu (Aloglu) Bräuer, political scientist from Ankara, came to Berlin in 2011 for her doctorate at the Free University. Your master's thesis already dealt with the topic of gender research. For years she has been volunteering in Ankara and Berlin in women's and LGBTIQ * movements. For example, she is a member of the Federal Association of Women Migrants in Germany, which has been an association of more than 2005 member groups since 20 for the political, legal, social and economic equality of women migrants. As an independent lecturer, Duygu Bräuer gives seminars on the topics of gender studies, queer theory as well as participation and migration. She is also active in political education.

Duygu Bräuer has been on the board of DaMigra since 2017. Here she represents DaMigra with her expertise in committees such as the CEDAW Alliance Germany or the UN Women's Rights Commission Germany. The priorities for her term of office are intersectionality, anti-racist feminism, migration, political participation, FLINTer / queer community, anti-discrimination and women's rights.
