Marburg, December 05, 2023, 17:30 p.m. - 20:30 p.m
Dear women, dear interested,
We hereby cordially invite you to the information event "Vocational training and racism and discrimination" a. The event takes place in cooperation with the DGB Jugend Mittelhessen.
Whether on the way to school, during breaks, after school or on social media: young people are confronted with racism and discrimination every day - directly or indirectly, verbally or physically, consciously or unconsciously. Racism and discrimination restrict the life, freedom and security of many people in Germany. In the area of training, for example in the selection process, discrimination often occurs, particularly on the basis of origin and religion, for example due to (attributed) origins from the Middle East and North Africa or from Turkey. Muslim women who wear a headscarf are particularly affected by discrimination in working life.
At this event we would like to discuss racism and discrimination in training and work together with Aslı Gürhan from the DGB Youth Central Hesse. We will then develop possible perspectives for action together, such as what those affected can do about it and how they can stand up for their rights.
The event is free of charge and takes place in German in simple language.
We ask for registration
via email email@example.com or by calling +49 0176 55021810.
