Invitation to the press conference: Cyber violence against migrant women * and refugee women * #MyDigitalWomenRights and the Istanbul Convention

Internet hatred has a gender dimension, and that is becoming more and more evident. Violence against women * is a socio-political problem, but it is viewed as a private matter. Hate speech specifically hits women * who express themselves feministly and critical of power. Women * with a history of migration also meet racist cyber violence. DaMigra demands: An anti-sexist and anti-racist Internet for everyone.

Violence against women * is not a private matter, it is always a crime. How does DaMigra stand up against cyber violence against refugee women *?

What criminal and civil law options are there for those affected by cyber violence?

What forms of cyber violence are directed against migrant and refugee women? *

These questions are the focus of the press conference on International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women:

Dr. Delal Atmaca, Managing Director DaMigra

Dr. Anne-Katrin Wolf, lawyer and member of the Criminal Law Commission of the German Association of Women Lawyers, djb

Jasna Strick, author, feminist and victim of cyber violence

When: On Monday, November 25th, 2019, 11:30 a.m.

Wo: Mercure Hotel Berlin Tempelhof, Hermannstrasse 214-216, 12049 Berlin
