Germany suspends humanitarian admission

We must stand in solidarity with those most affected by the coronavirus crisis. These are weak, sick and elderly people and people who have been stuck in initial reception camps at the external borders for years under unacceptable conditions. These people are often already weakened by the inhumane conditions. These people cannot keep their distance from each other because the camps are overcrowded. These people cannot implement any hygiene measures for themselves because the camps are not adequately equipped with sanitary facilities. These people have little to no information on how to protect themselves. For the people affected by the measure, including many women* and children, the suspension of humanitarian admission is catastrophic, the consequences are hardly foreseeable. If we make the world a fortress and don't take these people with us, we've all failed as people. ...
