Empowerment and resilience: Empowerment strategies for migrant women FLINTA*

Dear future members,

We hereby invite you to the empowerment weekend in Berlin. Together with Diana T. Valencia and Helena Mendoza, we would like to come together for two days to create an empowering space that we can design in a self-determined, needs-oriented and creative way. The aim is to slow down but also to exchange strategies for dealing with racism specifically for FLINTA*/women* from South and Latin America.

We want to investigate the following questions: What attributions are you confronted with? How do you deal with it? What support do you have or do you need? What/who helps you and gives you strength? What are the challenges, resistance and stresses due to your personal positioning and racist/multiple-discriminatory experiences? How can we draw on our resources and become stronger together?

This 2-day offer offers the opportunity to exchange ideas, find common points of contact and build community in a more protected space.

The event is free and takes place in Spanish instead. Meals we take over. Language mediation and Children's programme can be organized if necessary (please specify when registering). This event is aimed at FLINTA*/women* affected by racism. We ask you to register via email at a.haaby@damigra.de or via WhatsApp/call at +49157 58 154 368. Registration deadline: April 16, 2024.

Why Empowerment? We are affected by racism and other forms of discrimination on various levels (individual, structural and institutional). This has an impact on our life, our development, our physical and mental health. empowerment processes are thus very importantto deal with it. An essential factor in the empowerment process is the liberation from foreign determinations, fear, helplessness, anger, powerlessness and exhaustion. Then Empowerment provides opportunity, healing past experiences that were painful, coming out of victimhood, and the position of the acting person to take.

Estimadxs y queridxs,

The invitations come during the summer of employment in Berlin. Junto con Diana T. Valencia y Helena Mendoza, our gustaría reunirnos durante dos días para crear an espacio de empoderamiento que podamos deseñar de forma autodeterminada, creativa y orientada a nuestras necesidades. The object is a secure and tranquil space that has nothing to do with intercambiar ideas sobre estrategias para enfrentar el racismo. This taller is directed by FLINTA*/women* del Abya Yala (América del Sur y América Latina).

¿Cuáles son las etiquetas or prejuicios a los que te enfrentas? ¿Cómo te enfrentas a ellas? ¿Qué apoyo tienes or necesitas? ¿What are you saying and what are you doing? ¿A qué retos, resistencias y cargas te enfrentas debido a tu posicionamiento y experiencias racistas or de discriminacion múltiple? ¿Cómo podemos aprovechar nuestros recursos y hacernos more fuertes juntxs?

¿For what purpose? The racism and other forms of discrimination do not affect a variety of levels (individual, structural and institutional). It is repercuted in our lives, our lives and our physical and mental health.

This 2-day program includes an ambient protection environment that combines ideas, discovering points of contact with communities and building a community.

El encuentro es price quotation y en español. Bill lunch and the refrigerators are included. Si necesitan Childcare especificarlo al inscribed.

This event is destined to FLINTA*/women* affected by racism.
