“It’s our place – women and peace”

Dear interested parties, dear network partners,

As part of the anti-racism project women rais.ed and DaMigras Migrant Women March, we invite you to the event on March 25, 2024 at 18:00 p.m.: “It’s our place – women and peace” warmly welcome. We want to bring art and politics into dialogue. Become fellow women of the migrant women's association the linocuts and woodcuts with the theme “Peace” which were most recently shown in a special show in the Käthe Kollwitz Museum. They want to focus on the importance of art for political participation. In the evening we will show a film about the history of the club to celebrate the club's struggles and successes. Since 2005, the Migrant Women's Association Berlin eV has been campaigning for equal rights, violence prevention, against racism and the participation of migrant women. For example, the open printing workshop “Women put pressure” in the “Vielfalt” neighborhood house promotes political participation of migrant women through art and exchange. This meeting place is currently at risk of being terminated. In order to take action against this, they have launched an action with other initiatives in the house: “Karlsgartenstrasse 6 remains. We love our house!”. On March 07th a rally took place at the Neukölln town hall. We want to use the event to draw attention to this situation and thus strengthen the work of migrant women!
