“My world is colorful” A painting workshop for young refugee and migrant girls as part of the International Weeks Against Racism

Dear women, dear girls, dear interested parties,

As part of the educational weeks against racism, DaMigra eV invites you to “My world is colorful” A painting workshop for young refugee and migrant girls”. The workshop will be led by Iman Alghobari.

The combination of the theoretical part, connection with the inclusion of one's own experiences and creative expression creates a supportive space for young girls in which they can find their voice. The message of the creative workshop is to celebrate diversity, recognize diversity as a strength, experience it and feel part of an inclusive society

The workshop has the following sequence:

  1. Introduction and icebreaker: introduction round
  2. Discussion on International Women's Day: Highlighting democracy, freedom and freedom of expression in Germany. Question for girls: Why are these basic rights important? How do they experience these rights in everyday life?
  3. Challenges in democracy – racism. Question: Why is it important to take a stand against racism?
  4. Task: Using input from the theoretical part, to express yourself in a creative way.
  5. Evaluation, feedback
  6. Photo documentation

We look forward to seeing you!
