Panel discussion: Three years after Hanau - remembering has to change!

Dear future members,

We hereby cordially invite you to the information event and panel discussion “Three years after Hanau – remembering must change” a. This event is organized in cooperation with the Migrant Women's Association Frankfurt and DIDF youth . held

We are happy, the lawyer Seda Başay-yıldız and Saadet Sonmez, from the party DIE LINKE in the Hessian state parliament as well as Rojda Durmaz to have won from the DIDF youth for this event. Seda Başay-Yıldız represented relatives of an NSU murder victim and received threatening letters from NSU 2.0 for years. Saadet Sönmez works primarily on the topics of integration and migration and is a member of the Hanau investigative committee, and the DIDF youth is part of the Hanau Alliance in Frankfurt am Main. Among others, the Hessian state parliamentarians Wiebke Knell (FDP), Lisa Gnadl (SPD) and Claudia Ravensburg (CDU) have been requested. In addition, will Dr. Soraya Moket, Deputy Managing Director of DaMigra join the discussion and Özgun Piril will moderate the event.

Together, three years after the racist and right-wing extremist attack in Hanau, we would like to discuss the importance of commemoration politics for the migrant community and for the fight against racism and right-wing extremism. The legal and political expertise of our speakers should form the basis for a discussion on how the memory of Hanau has to change and what political action is needed to fight right-wing networks in Germany.

The event is free of charge and takes place in German in simple language. There is a translation into Turkish. If you need childcare, then get in touch with us!
