Racism and (post-)migrant realities: film evening & conversation

Dear future members,

DaMigra e. V. invites you together with MigraNetz Thüringen e. V. and MigraFem for the event Racism and (post-)migrant realities: film evening & conversation. As part of the International Weeks Against Racism, we would like to search for the origins of the term Aryan with the documentary “The Aryans” (2014) by the Afro-German filmmaker Mo Asumang and understand how the term is still used today by right-wing extremists in Germany and the USA is being abused.

Mo Asumang names racial categorization, stereotypes and prejudices and shows what helps us to confront racism. It shows excellently how hatred and right-wing propaganda can be combated.

With regard to the current political events in our society, we want to build on and discuss them in a panel discussion Rassismus, right-wing opinion making and (post-)migrant realities of life speak. We have invited Masuma Jafari, Kim Mary and Bulganchimeg Nyamaa, who will examine the topic from their perspective. The evening will be moderated by Berhüdan Tutku.

The event is free. The dream opens a bar where snacks and drinks can be purchased. Be on time, because they Places are limited! We ask that you register via WhatsApp/Telegram to +49 176 603 823 46 using this link: https://eveeno.com/862984334

This event offers no space for racist, anti-Semitic, sexist or other discriminatory statements. In such a case, exclusion occurs! TW: People talk about racist and discriminatory experiences.

When: March 22.03.2024, XNUMX – 18: 00 to 21: 00

Location: Träumechen (Salinenstraße 34, 99086 Erfurt)
