DaMigra eV cordially invites you to our weekly meeting room as part of the "Gemeinsam MUTig" project!

There's a special occasion this Monday - movie night. Together we watch our documentary short film “Because arriving takes courage”, which was published by DaMigra eV last year. We then discuss the film with one of the protagonists.

The film describes the path of women with a migration background and shows how they settle in Germany, build a life and social environment and look for a job. It sheds light on the political, professional and social participation that migrant women bring about, but also the conditions of the dominant society under which this can take place.

The film's explicit focus is on the journey of three women into the world of work and training in Germany and their own perspective on it. Structural hurdles such as discrimination, unequal care work and institutional exclusions are addressed, but also the successes that women have achieved despite the barriers, as well as their personal convictions and moments of happiness.

With the film we open a platform for discussions and reflections. The participants can talk to the protagonist and share their personal stories, beliefs, dreams and hurdles in the German training and job market and support and empower each other.
